Botnica is extremely winter hardy. On the typically clay soils of northern wheat regions, it withstands winter and spring wetness and freeze–thaw cycles very well. Low winter damage gives strong cultivation reliability.
Botnica is recommended for zones I and II in Finland. With careful consideration, it can also be grown further north in low‑snowfall areas suitable for winter wheat.
