A hybrid winter rapeseed variety combining winter hardiness, high yield, high oil content and good disease resistance. Tested and developed for performance in northern conditions.
LG Architect is moderately early.
LG Architect is a very high‑yielding winter rapeseed variety with high oil content. The variety is also resistant to pod shattering, meaning the pods remain intact and do not release seeds prematurely.
LG Architect is suitable for the vegetable oil industry.
LG Architect has a strong stem and good lodging resistance.
In breeder trials and demo field tests, LG Architect has proven to be an excellent winter survivor.
Recommended for zones I–II in Finland. Field selection should follow the same requirements as for winter cereals. Winter oilseed crops perform best on mineral soils. In Finland, the recommended sowing time for winter rapeseed is early August. If sown at the very beginning of August and autumn is warm, growth regulators can help keep the growing point close to the soil surface. LG Architect has faster autumn growth than many other varieties grown in Finland, allowing slightly later sowing. This is useful when sowing is delayed or effective heat sum in autumn is limited. The commonly recommended effective heat sum requirement after sowing is 450–500 °C, ensuring:
before winter.
