Dorothy ranks at the very top for timothy yields. It delivers excellent yields in all three cuts and still hardens strongly as growth ends in late September. Like other top‑yielding timothy varieties, Dorothy is relatively early and produces some stem in the second cut. With well‑timed cutting intervals, it can deliver very good digestibility.
Dorothy is suitable for silage and pasture mixes, either as a pure timothy or combined with higher digestibility timothy varieties.
Dorothy is among the most winter hardy timothy varieties, bringing stability especially in Finnish cultivation zones III–V.
Recommended for zones I–V in Finland. Well suited to all soil types.
