Nuutti is a reliable general‑purpose timothy variety that combines good regrowth, winter hardiness and feeding quality. Nuutti has been extremely high yielding both in the first cut and especially in the regrowth. Its yield level has remained high regardless of the age of the grass stand. The digestibility of Nuutti’s yield is among the best in the variety set in both the first and the second cut. Digestibility declines slowly during the first cut, ensuring the production of high‑quality silage even if harvest is delayed.
Nuutti’s winter hardiness is among the best of all forage grass species. Its winter hardiness is sufficient for productive cultivation all the way to Lapland.
