Excellent forage quality combined with strong yield and durability. Among the best varieties in seed production characteristics. Developed with Boreal’s Nordic expertise for northern conditions.
Inkeri’s yield level has been high in both the first cut and the regrowth. It produces consistent yields across all regions and soil types. Yield stability has been good even as the sward ages. Inkeri’s quality is top‑class in terms of both digestibility and protein content. It reaches heading slightly later than most other meadow fescues, meaning digestibility declines later.
Meadow fescues are well suited for:
In pasture mixtures, meadow fescue share can be about 10% higher than in silage mixtures.
Inkeri has demonstrated the best winter hardiness among the varieties. No significant winter damage has been observed even after harsh winters.
Recommended for Finnish cultivation zones I–V.
