Matilda is a top yielding pea variety. Its cooking quality is excellent, fully meeting the requirements of cooking tests. In terms of protein content and seed size, Matilda is average.

The variety is suitable both as a food pea and for protein feed production.

Matilda is a modern variety with a sturdy stem.

Matilda is completely resistant to pea powdery mildew.

The variety is particularly well suited to clay soils but also produces good yields on coarser soil types. Matilda is recommended for zones I–III in Finland.
