Synneva BOR

An early, high‑yielding and strong‑stemmed Plus turnip rape. Excellent as a preceding crop for autumn‑sown cereals. Developed with Boreal’s Nordic expertise for northern conditions.

Synneva is an early variety.

In Finnish official trials, Synneva has yielded more than the best population varieties currently in cultivation. It has also been the highest‑yielding spring turnip rape in cultivation zone I. Synneva’s characteristics in trials:

  • oil content competitive with other varieties
  • oil yield among the highest in its group
  • seed size and protein content at average modern levels
  • chlorophyll content among the lowest of all varieties

Synneva is suitable for the vegetable oil industry.

Synneva has a very strong stem. In Finnish official trials, it has shown one of the lowest lodging percentages in the group. Thanks to its lodging resistance, nitrogen application can be slightly higher than for standard varieties.

Synneva is recommended for zones I–IV in Finland. Performs well on all soil types but not recommended for the most drought‑prone fields.
