Vertti has a very strong stem. The straw is slightly shorter and significantly stronger than in other early six‑row varieties.
Vertti performs well across different zones and soil types, although not recommended for drought‑prone fields. It also tolerates soil acidity. Suitable for zones I–IV in Finland and performs best on fields with good moisture conditions.
