Rubinia provides good yield, quality, and winter hardiness for forage stands. Developed using Boreal’s Nordic expertise in breeding for northern conditions.
Rubinia is a very high yielding timothy. Its dry matter yield has been high in official variety trials across stands of different ages and Finnish cultivation zones. Rubinia has excellent regrowth, resulting in consistently high yields across cutting cycles. It is therefore well suited to a three-cut harvesting strategy.
Forage grass.
Rubinia has among the best winter hardiness of all timothy varieties. In Finnish official trials, its winter damage percentage has been one of the lowest.
Recommended for zones I–V in Finland.
Rubinia’s seed production capacity has been very good in Boreal’s seed multiplication fields.
