Drago

Drago is a very high‑yielding hybrid rapeseed variety suitable for cultivation in southern Finland. Developed for stability in northern conditions.

Drago is moderately early. Its growth duration is similar to the spring rapeseed variety Campino.

In Finnish official variety trials, Drago has been over 10% higher yielding than the rapeseed Trapper. Among spring rapeseed varieties that reach Drago’s yield level, others are clearly later maturing. Drago characteristics:

  • relatively high oil content
  • high yield → excellent oil yield
  • relatively early maturity → low chlorophyll content

Vegetable oil industry.

Drago hybrid rapeseed has excellent lodging resistance. In Finnish official trials, it has ranked among the most lodging‑resistant spring rapeseed varieties. Drago is slightly taller than Trapper.

Drago is suitable for cultivation in zones I and II in Finland.
