A top-yielding, well-adapted, strong-stemmed and yellow-seeded feed pea. Eso adapts to a wide range of conditions and is therefore cultivated in many countries around the world. Selected with Boreal’s Nordic expertise in breeding for northern conditions.
Eso’s growing time is mid-range among peas. It is slightly earlier than the control variety Astronaute.
The yellow-seeded Eso has consistently produced top yields in both Finnish official trials and Boreal’s own trials. The seed size of Eso is a suitable medium size. Its protein content is relatively low.
The variety is suited for feed production.
Eso has a relatively long stem, longer than the control variety Astronaute, for example. Its stem is relatively strong, and the variety’s lodging percentage has been moderate in trials.
