Sisu’s growth duration is average within the pea variety range.
The green-seeded Sisu produces very high yields. Its seed is relatively small, and the protein content is average for pea varieties.
Sisu is an excellent feed pea. It can also be cultivated as a food pea, but the risk of excessive hard seeds is slightly higher than average.
Sisu has a strong stem, and in lodging resistance it is among the best pea varieties. In height, Sisu is average compared to other varieties.
In terms of disease resistance, Sisu does not differ from other pea varieties on the market.
The variety performs well on both clay soils and coarser soil types. Sisu is recommended for Finnish cultivation zones I–IIIe.
