Eversti is a late six‑row barley.

Eversti is a very high‑yielding variety across all Finnish cultivation zones.

• In Zone I, yield is high compared with other six‑row varieties
• In Zones II and III, yield competes even with many two‑row barleys

Eversti has very large grains. Its thousand kernel weight (TKW) is among the highest of all six‑row varieties, and larger kernel percentage is extremely high. Starch content is also high.

Eversti is suitable for feed and starch barley production.

Eversti has a medium‑length but very strong stem.

Eversti has good overall disease resistance:

• very good resistance to both forms of net blotch
• fairly good resistance to powdery mildew
• fairly good resistance to Rhynchosporium (leaf scald)
• combined leaf blotch + physiological leaf spot levels have been among the lowest of all six‑row varieties in official trials

Eversti is recommended for zones I, II, III and IVe in Finland. It also tolerates soil acidity.
